Privacy policy
Privacy
This page explains what personal data we collect, what we use it for, and what rights you have over it. It's written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, get in touch.
01 Who is responsible
The data controller is Decoyed Monolith, a music project based in Santiago, Chile. For any privacy matter, reach us through the contact form on the site.
02 What we collect
- Email address — only if you subscribe to the newsletter or write to us via the contact form. You provide it voluntarily.
- Contact form data — your name, email and the message you send.
- Browsing data — if you arrive from an ad, we use the Meta pixel, which collects technical data such as your IP address, browser, and the actions you take on the site (page views, clicks). We do not collect sensitive data.
03 What we use it for
- To send you news about new releases, live dates and project updates.
- To reply to your contact messages.
- To measure and improve the effectiveness of our ad campaigns.
04 Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you subscribe, write to us, or accept tracking. You can withdraw it at any time (see points 07 and 08).
05 Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the providers that keep the site running, acting as data processors:
- Meta Platforms — tracking pixel and ad measurement.
- Resend — email delivery and newsletter management.
- Cloudflare — site hosting and technical logs.
These providers process data outside Chile (mainly in the U.S.), under their own privacy policies.
06 How long we keep it
We keep your email while you remain subscribed or until you ask to unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to reply and follow up. Campaign data is retained according to Meta's terms.
07 Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its processing and request its portability. To exercise any of these, reach us through the contact form on the site. We'll respond within the timeframes the law requires.
08 Tracking and how to opt out
We use the Meta pixel to measure ad effectiveness. Third parties such as Meta use tracking technologies to collect data about your activity on and off the site, and use it to measure and target ads. You can opt out by:
- Adjusting your ad preferences in your Meta account.
- Blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
- Unsubscribing from the newsletter with one click, via the link at the foot of any email.
09 Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date and version at the top of the page. We recommend checking back from time to time.
